1. We give thanks to You, O God;

1. we give thanks, and Your name is near;

1. Your wondrous works declare it.

2. When I select an appointed time,

2. I will judge with equity.

3. Though the earth and all its inhabitants are swaying,

3. I steady its pillars. Selah

4. I said to the boastful, “Do not boast,”

4. and to the wicked, “Do not lift up your horn.

5. Do not lift up your horn on high,

5. or speak with an arrogant neck.”

6. For neither from the east nor west,

6. nor from the wilderness comes victory.

7. But God is the judge;

7. He brings one low, and lifts up another.

8. For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup,

8. and it is full of mixed, foaming wine,

8. and He pours from it;

8. surely all the wicked of the earth will find and drink its dregs.

9. But I will declare forever,

9. I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

10. All the horns of the wicked I will cut off,

10. but the horns of the righteous will be exalted.
