1. I will lift up my eyes to the hills,

1. from where does my help come?

2. My help comes from the Lord,

2. who made heaven and earth.

3. He will not let your foot slip;

3. He who keeps you will not slumber.

4. Behold, He who guards Israel

4. shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5. The Lord is your guardian;

5. the Lord is your shade at your right hand.

6. The sun shall not harm you during the day,

6. nor the moon during the night.

7. The Lord shall protect you from all evil;

7. He shall preserve your soul.

8. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in

8. from now and for evermore.
