1. Praise the Lord!

1. Praise the Lord from the heavens;

1. praise Him in the heights.

2. Praise Him, all His angels;

2. praise Him, all His heavenly hosts.

3. Praise Him, sun and moon;

3. praise Him, all you stars of light.

4. Praise Him, you highest of heavens,

4. and you waters that are above the skies.

5. Let them praise the name of the Lord,

5. for He commanded, and they were created.

6. He has also established them forever and ever;

6. He has made a decree that shall not pass away.

7. Praise the Lord from the earth,

7. you great sea creatures, and all you depths,

8. fire and hail, snow and mist,

8. storming wind fulfilling His word,

9. mountains and all hills,

9. fruitful trees and all cedars;

10. animals and all cattle,

10. creeping things and flying birds;

11. kings of the earth and all peoples,

11. princes and all rulers of the earth;

12. both young men and maidens,

12. old men and children.

13. Let them praise the name of the Lord,

13. for His name alone is excellent;

13. His glory is above the earth and heaven.

14. He has raised up a victory horn for His people,

14. praise for all His saints,

14. even for the people of Israel near Him.
