1. I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice
1. and my supplications.
2. Because He has inclined His ear to me,
2. therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.
3. The cords of death encircled me,
3. and the pains of Sheol took hold ofme;
3. I found trouble and sorrow.
4. Then called I upon the name of the Lord:
4. “O Lord, I plead with You, deliver my soul.”
5. Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
5. indeed, our God is merciful.
6. The Lord protects the simple;
6. I was brought low, and He helped me.
7. Return to your rest, O my soul;
7. for the Lord has vindicated you.
8. For You have delivered my soul from death,
8. my eyes from tears,
8. and my feet from falling.
9. I will walk before the Lord
9. in the land of the living.
10. I believed, indeed I have spoken:
10. “I am greatly afflicted.”
11. I said in my haste,
11. “All men are liars.”
12. What shall I render unto the Lord
12. for all His benefits toward me?
13. I will take the cup of salvation
13. and call upon the name of the Lord.
14. I will pay my vows unto the Lord
14. now in the presence of all His people.
15. Precious in the sight of the Lord
15. is the death of His godly ones.
16. O Lord, I am Your servant;
16. I am Your servant, the son of Your female servant;
16. You have loosed my bonds.
17. I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving
17. and will call upon the name of the Lord.
18. I will pay my vows unto the Lord
18. now in the presence of all His people,
19. in the courts of the house of the Lord,
19. in your midst, O Jerusalem.
19. Praise the Lord!
