1. Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
1. but unto Your name give glory,
1. for the sake of Your mercy, and for the sake of Your truth.
2. Why should the nations say,
2. “Where now is their God?”
3. But our God is in the heavens;
3. He does whatever He pleases.
4. Their idols are silver and gold,
4. the work of men’s hands.
5. They have mouths, but they cannot speak;
5. eyes, but they cannot see;
6. they have ears, but they cannot hear;
6. noses, but they cannot smell;
7. they have hands, but they cannot feel;
7. feet, but they cannot walk;
7. neither can they speak with their throat.
8. Those who make them are like them;
8. so is everyone who trusts in them.
9. O Israel, trust in the Lord;
9. He is their help and their shield.
10. O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord;
10. He is their help and their shield.
11. You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord;
11. He is their help and their shield.
12. The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us;
12. He will bless the house of Israel;
12. He will bless the house of Aaron.
13. He will bless those who fear the Lord,
13. both the small and great ones.
14. The Lord shall increase you more and more,
14. you and your children.
15. You are blessed of the Lord,
15. who made heaven and earth.
16. The heavens belong to the Lord,
16. but the earth He has given to the children of men.
17. The dead do not praise the Lord,
17. nor do any who go down into silence.
18. But we will bless the Lord
18. from this time and for evermore.
