1. Give to the Lord, you heavenly beings,

1. give to the Lord glory and strength.

2. worship the Lord in holy splendor.

3. The voice of the Lord is over the waters;

3. the God of glory thunders;

3. the Lord is over many waters.

4. The voice of the Lord sounds with strength;

4. the voice of the Lord—with majesty.

5. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;

5. the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon.

6. He makes them skip like a calf,

6. Lebanon and Sirion like a wild ox.

7. The voice of the Lord flashes

7. like flames of fire.

8. The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;

8. the Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.

9. The voice of the Lord makes the deer to give birth,

9. and strips the forests bare;

9. and in His temple everyone says, “Glory!”

10. The Lord sits enthroned above the flood,

10. the Lord sits as King forever.

11. The Lord will give strength to His people;

11. the Lord will bless His people with peace.
